Alvin Fan is a 20 year asset management veteran and CEO of OP Investment Management. Since helming OPIM’s regulated incubation business in 2014, he’s helped structure countless Asia-based funds and launched some of the region’s most exciting strategies across every major hedge fund asset class – from China market neutral quants to digital assets. As a result, OPIM recently won HFM’s best platform of the year with over $2 billion in AUM/AUA across more than 35 strategies in 2022 alone. Alvin was previously Director of Incubated Funds at OP Financial Investments Ltd, responsible for monitoring the company’s portfolio of public equity investments including fund of funds. Prior to joining OP, Alvin worked in private equity and venture capital focusing on distressed assets, infrastructure and property across Asia and EU. Alvin received his MBA from the Ivey School of Business, UWO in 2006.

Connie Wong is a Managing Director based in the Singapore operation where she oversees strategic partnerships and business growth for the Asia-Pacific region. Connie also serves as an independent director to Asia-based hedge funds, private equity funds and venture capital funds with varying structure and investment strategies across multiple jurisdictions. Connie joined Waystone in 2015 and was based initially in the Cayman Islands office, before subsequently moving to roles based in the Hong Kong and Singapore operations. Prior to joining Waystone, Connie was a manager of the Finance and Fund Referred Reporting Engagement Group at PwC in the Cayman Islands, where she managed the finance operations for the Cayman Islands and Bahamas offices and liaised on financial and operating matters with all business units within the company, including the Caribbean region. While at PwC, Connie managed a portfolio of hedge fund clients in North America and managed the financial reporting requirements of investment funds across jurisdictions such as the Cayman Islands, North America and Luxembourg. Connie was also responsible for reviewing the financial statements of CIMA registered funds received from the global PwC network. In addition to her native Cantonese, Connie is fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese and Hokkien/Taiwanese.

Conrad is Deloitte China VCPE Program National Leader, in charge of serving key VCPE clients and managing VPCE related service. Conrad has close to 20 of professional accounting and M&A financial advisory experience in Deloitte New York, Hong Kong and Beijing. Conrad’s significant cross border and domestic transaction experience serving private equity investors by providing M&A advisory, due diligence and valuation in in a wide range of industries.

Doris Chik is the Partner of National Tax and Legal Technical Centre of Deloitte China in Hong Kong. She provides tax technical support and focuses on tax technical analysis, research, tax policy consultation, article writing and internal training. She is a frequent speaker in tax seminars, as well as a writer of various tax technical articles and publications. Doris has over 20 years of professional experience in tax services. She has broad professional experience gained from working in different aspects, including Business Tax Services and International and M&A Tax Services, technical and training. She specializes in Hong Kong and international tax planning. She has experience in serving many multinational clients.  Doris holds an MBA from the University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor degree in Professional Accountancy from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is a Chartered Tax Advisor and a fellow member of The Taxation Institute of Hong Kong (TIHK), a Certified Public Accountant of The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA), a fellow member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA), and a member of the Association of Women Accountants. She is a representative of a constituent member of the Joint Liaison Committee on Taxation (JLCT).

Douglas Wong is the Head of Property & Casualty at the Chubb Insurance Hong Kong Limited which is a lead insurer in the Hong Kong general insurance market. He oversees an insurance portfolio that consists of property, casualty, marine and financial lines products and has gross written premium more than US$170m. Prior to that, Douglas served as the Head of Financial Lines at Chubb Hong Kong, and previously, at its strategic partner Huatai Insurance in the mainland China. In his Head of Financial Lines role, Douglas and his team offered tailored made insurance solutions to executives, investment managers and other professionals in the Greater China region. Douglas holds an MBA degree and is a CFA Charterholder.

Elaine joined Waystone in 2011, and has over 10 years of experience working within finance, compliance and investment management. As a Director, Elaine manages a portfolio of Waystone client funds, ensuring the relevant regulatory and compliance requirements are met for both hedge fund and private equity clients. Her vast skill set allows her to offer guidance on regulatory, legal, accounting and financial issues. Elaine works closely with Waystone’s independent directors and the regional Business Development teams on all aspects of business planning and strategy. Elaine graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in Economics.

Emma re-joined DBS Asia Capital Limited in 2011. Her experience in equity capital markets includes participation in numerous fund raising transactions and secondary market financing transactions, such the rights issue of Link REIT, Yuexiu Property, the IPO of Far East Horizon, JL Mag Rare Earth Co.,Ltd, Sensetime Group Inc, China Merchants Commercial REIT, Beijing Enterprises Urban Resources Group Ltd, JD Health International Inc., GDS Holdings Ltd, Netjoy Holdings Ltd, Central China New Life Ltd, JY Grandmark Holdings Ltd, Nirvana, Q Technology (Group) Company Ltd, China VAST, Central China Securities Co., Ltd, Jinmao Investments, Best Pacific International Holdings Ltd. She was a team manager of Institutional Fund Services at HSBC before joining DBS Asia Capital Limited. Prior to HSBC, she was an audit manager in Ernst & Young CPA in Hong Kong and had audited companies from the financial, manufacturing, industrials and consumer sectors, both in the Mainland China and Hong Kong. She graduated from York University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management. She obtained her second degree from Hong Kong University, majoring in Accounting. She is also a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Felicia works in the Securities & Fiduciary Services team in DBS Hong Kong, managing sales and marketing efforts for the full range of securities and fiduciary services and related products including securities custody and fund administration services, covering Hong Kong and China market. Before joining DBS, Felicia worked in business development at an international law firm with a focus on fund administration business covering private equity funds, hedge funds, fund of funds, and family offices. She is knowledgeable in various offshore fund structures and strategies with in-depth knowledge of fund and asset management industry across the APAC region. Felicia holds a Master degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Mr. Miao has advised on numerous equity and debt capital market transactions involving corporate issuers and international underwriters, including global offerings and listings and bond offerings on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and initial public offerings and secondary offerings registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.  Mr. Miao has advised clients in mergers and acquisitions, restructuring as well as acquisitions of listed companies.  Mr. Miao has also advised Hong Kong-listed company compliance and corporate governance. Having practised for over 17 years, Mr. Miao has been involved in Hong Kong listing projects across the industries of biotechnology, TMT, clean energy, consumer, mining, real estate and financial services etc.  Before establishing Han Kun Hong Kong office, Mr. Miao practiced law for many years with leading international law firms, such as Latham & Watkins and Morrison & Foerster.  Prior to joining the legal profession, Mr. Miao worked for leading international pharmaceutical, healthcare and life sciences companies, such as GlaxoSmithKline Plc and Eli Lilly and Company. Mr Ivan Lau is DBS Bank’s Vice President and joined DBS Institutional Banking Group in Apr 2011. Mr Lau is a seasoned banker with more than 15 years solid banking experience in financial services. He is familar in dealing with Non-Bank Financial Institution, Asset Manager, Fund Manager and Family Office. Mr Lau holds a Bachelor’s degree in HK Polytechnic University and a chartered FRM® (Financial Risk Manager) since 2008.

Joy Lam is a partner (registered foreign lawyer) in Baker McKenzie's Hong Kong office and a virtual asset specialist. Joy's practice focuses on advising clients within the virtual assets ecosystem in relation to virtual asset funds, tokenized funds, non-fund tokenized offerings, and the complex and rapidly evolving regulatory requirements for providing infrastructure that services the virtual assets ecosystem. Joy has been at the forefront of the digital asset revolution for several years and has advised clients on many innovative, first of their kind transactions and regulatory approvals.  Her representative experience includes advising on Asia's first open ended tokenized fund and Asia's first closed ended tokenized fund, securing the first approval from the SFC for a 100% virtual assets fund that permits subscriptions and redemptions to be effected in the form of virtual assets, securing the first regulatory approval from the SFC for a traditional securities brokerage firm to provide the full suite of digital asset brokerage and advisory services in Hong Kong, and advising on the first tokenization of prime London real estate. Matthew is a member of Ogier’s investment funds team in Hong Kong. Matthew’s practice primarily focuses on the establishment and structuring of private equity funds, hedge funds and other closed ended and open ended investment funds. He also has experience in general corporate matters and regulatory compliance.

Mr Nathan Chow is DBS Bank’s Executive Director and Senior Economist and he joined us in May 2011. Mr Chow is responsible for monitoring the market development of offshore RMB businesses and the macroeconomic conditions in Greater China. He conducts economic/ investment seminars on a regular basis for the public and internal staff across Asia, spanning from Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei to Shanghai and Beijing. Mr Chow also provides training for internal staff with an aim to support sales programmes. As a guest speaker, he delivers lectures for postgraduates on MBA courses at the University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Prior to joining DBS Bank, Mr Chow had stayed with China International Capital Corporation Limited, China Investment Corporation and Hong Kong Monetary Authority as economist and analyst. Mr Chow’s expertise focuses on macroeconomics and financial market research. Mr Chow speaks regularly to the electronic media such as Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, Wall Street Journal, TVB, NowTV, and Cable TV and various print media, like Financial Times, Fortune, Asiamoney, and China Daily providing his professional insights on finance and economics. Nick is the Practice Partner of Ogier in Hong Kong and the Head of Ogier's Investment Funds team in Asia. He acts for a wide variety of Asian fund managers in the private equity, long only and hedge fund space. His clients represent some of the more sophisticated and respected fund managers in Asia. Nick has been named one of the top offshore lawyers in Asia by Asian Legal Business on its Offshore Client Choice List for six consecutive years and he has also been ranked as one of the "World's Leading Investment Funds Lawyers" in four editions of Euromoney's Expert Guides. Nick joined Ogier in January 2006 from Slaughter and May, London where he practiced as a corporate M&A lawyer. He subsequently founded Ogier's Hong Kong office in February 2007. Nick's primary focus has since been on building Ogier's now significant Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands investment funds and venture capital practice in Asia. He acts for a wide variety of Asian fund managers in the private equity, long only and hedge fund space. His clients represent some of the more sophisticated and respected fund managers in Asia. Reuben Lai is the Vice President of Private Capital for Preqin in the Hong Kong office. He is leading the Private Capital, Investors and Hedge Fund Research teams, all based in Hong Kong, primarily working on the comprehensiveness of the coverage in the Greater China area. Previously, he was managing the Private Capital team, as well as an offshore team in Guangzhou. He is primarily responsible of the operations and present Preqin’s house view on the alternatives market. Reuben holds a Bachelor in Cognitive Science from the University of British Columbia, Canada.

Mr Robert Lui is currently the Hong Kong Digital Asset Leader, Southern Region Government Affairs Unit leader, Capital Market Services Group-Southern Region Offering Services Leader and Audit & Assurance partner of Deloitte China. Mr Lui has gained over twenty years working experience in Deloitte. Over the years, Robert has provided audit & assurance, digitalization, merger & acquisition services to listed companies, growth enterprises and overseas companies. In addition, he is responsible for the affairs and relationship with the Government Units and the development of the Greater Bay Area. Being the Capital Market Services Group Leader of Deloitte China Southern Region, Robert assisted more than fifty entities in their initial public offerings in The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.

Simon Yip, CFA, FRM is a Team Lead of Institutional Treasury Management at DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited and he joined us in Sep 2017. Mr Yip is responsible for client relationship management focusing on the fund industry. His team provides wide range of corporate banking products and services to asset managers and funds including private equites and hedge funds, mostly from Asia especially Greater China. He has over 12 years of extensive experience in the banking industry. Mr Yip worked in different international banks prior to joining DBS. Simon holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and is a CFA chartered holder and certified FRM.

Mr. Shou is the chief investment officer at Skybound Capital. With an academic background in China, Theodore Shou started his career lecturing economics. Subsequently, Shou worked on investment roles with HSBC, where he was mostly specialised in manager selection and asset allocation. He was stationed in London, New York, Geneva and Hong Kong. Shou joined Skybound Capital in 2011 to set up its Asian business before taking up more roles within the group. Mr. Shou holds Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Economics. He is a CFA charter holder and a CAIA charter holder. Meanwhile, he serves as director to various public and private companies globally, while he also serves as Chapter Executive at CAIA Hong Kong. 

Tony is a Vice President of Capital Markets and Wealth Management at Tykhe Capital Group. The Group’s Capital Markets and Wealth Management business is acting through Pioneer Asset Management Limited (PAML), a Tykhe Group member. PAML is the first and only asset manager permitted by SFC in Hong Kong to conduct fund tokenisation business, and is permitted to manage 100% of portfolio(s) in virtual assets (including security tokens and crypto assets). At Tykhe, Tony is responsible for the development of Tykhe's security token offering (STO) business and the project lead of PRINCE Token project, the first real estate fund STO managed by a Hong Kong licensed asset manager. Prior to his role at Tykhe Group, Tony led the product strategy and partnership across Tykhe’s subsidiaries from custody, payment to trading platform; particularly, he drove a number of banking and brokerage partnerships focusing on providing enabling infrastructure for financial market intermediaries to enter Web3. In addition to Tykhe, Tony was also an adjunct Applied Research Fellow at Chinese University of Hong Kong, coaching FinTech Master students on various Web3 industry projects.  

Yifan Zheng is currently Assistant Vice President in Institutional Banking Group, DBS Hong Kong, responsible for business development and partnership in Greater China, focusing on DBS Asset Management Banking Solution. Yifan has more than 7 years of experience covering institutional and corporate clients in Greater China, with a focus on asset manager and funds. Prior to DBS Hong Kong, Yifan had stayed in Oriental Patron and Maybank Investment Bank managing institutional & corporate sales. Joy has been at the forefront of the digital asset revolution for several years and has advised clients on many innovative, first of their kind transactions and regulatory approvals.  Her representative experience includes advising on Asia's first open ended tokenized fund and Asia's first closed ended tokenized fund, securing the first approval from the SFC for a 100% virtual assets fund that permits subscriptions and redemptions to be effected in the form of virtual assets, securing the first regulatory approval from the SFC for a traditional securities brokerage firm to provide the full suite of digital asset brokerage and advisory services in Hong Kong, and advising on the first tokenization of prime London real estate. Drawing on a deep understanding of the rapidly evolving virtual assets landscape, Joy regularly advises clients on a broad range of virtual asset matters.  This includes the formation of a wide range of private investment funds investing in liquid virtual assets, private digital tokens and securities issued by blockchain companies (including funds executing venture capital, quantitative, arbitrage, liquidity mining, yield farming and DeFi strategies), regulatory approvals for a broad range of virtual asset focused activities (including fund management, virtual asset distribution and advisory, virtual asset trading platforms) and the issuance of digital tokens (including tokenized funds, tokenized real estate and non-security tokens).  Joy also counsels clients on fundraising through equity and token offerings as well as investments in equity and tokens. Joy is ranked "Band 2" in Chambers Fintech (2023) and was named a "Rising Star" in 2022 by China Business Law Journal as one of 20 young elite lawyers from international firms engaged in China-related business.  Joy is also ranked in Investment Funds by Chambers 2023 and was named a "Rising Star" in asset management by Law360 in its 2018 report that recognizes the "top legal talent under 40" who are practicing at a level "usually seen from veteran attorneys.  

Matthew is a member of Ogier’s investment funds team in Hong Kong. Matthew’s practice primarily focuses on the establishment and structuring of private equity funds, hedge funds and other closed ended and open ended investment funds. He also has experience in general corporate matters and regulatory compliance.

Mr Nathan Chow is DBS Bank’s Executive Director and Senior Economist and he joined us in May 2011. Mr Chow is responsible for monitoring the market development of offshore RMB businesses and the macroeconomic conditions in Greater China. He conducts economic/ investment seminars on a regular basis for the public and internal staff across Asia, spanning from Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei to Shanghai and Beijing. Mr Chow also provides training for internal staff with an aim to support sales programmes. As a guest speaker, he delivers lectures for postgraduates on MBA courses at the University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Prior to joining DBS Bank, Mr Chow had stayed with China International Capital Corporation Limited, China Investment Corporation and Hong Kong Monetary Authority as economist and analyst. Mr Chow’s expertise focuses on macroeconomics and financial market research. Mr Chow speaks regularly to the electronic media such as Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, Wall Street Journal, TVB, NowTV, and Cable TV and various print media, like Financial Times, Fortune, Asiamoney, and China Daily providing his professional insights on finance and economics. Mr Chow also speaks on economic forums and conferences, such as those convened by Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing, Treasury Markets Association, and Hong Kong Institute of Bankers. Mr Chow holds a Bachelor and a Master degree in Economics from Simon Fraser University.

Nick is the Practice Partner of Ogier in Hong Kong and the Head of Ogier's Investment Funds team in Asia. He acts for a wide variety of Asian fund managers in the private equity, long only and hedge fund space. His clients represent some of the more sophisticated and respected fund managers in Asia. Nick has been named one of the top offshore lawyers in Asia by Asian Legal Business on its Offshore Client Choice List for six consecutive years and he has also been ranked as one of the "World's Leading Investment Funds Lawyers" in four editions of Euromoney's Expert Guides. Nick joined Ogier in January 2006 from Slaughter and May, London where he practiced as a corporate M&A lawyer. He subsequently founded Ogier's Hong Kong office in February 2007. Nick's primary focus has since been on building Ogier's now significant Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands investment funds and venture capital practice in Asia. He acts for a wide variety of Asian fund managers in the private equity, long only and hedge fund space. His clients represent some of the more sophisticated and respected fund managers in Asia. Nick is part of Ogier's multi-disciplinary Private Equity team.

Reuben Lai is the Vice President of Private Capital for Preqin in the Hong Kong office. He is leading the Private Capital, Investors and Hedge Fund Research teams, all based in Hong Kong, primarily working on the comprehensiveness of the coverage in the Greater China area. Previously, he was managing the Private Capital team, as well as an offshore team in Guangzhou. He is primarily responsible of the operations and present Preqin’s house view on the alternatives market. Reuben holds a Bachelor in Cognitive Science from the University of British Columbia, Canada.

Mr Robert Lui is currently the Hong Kong Digital Asset Leader, Southern Region Government Affairs Unit leader, Capital Market Services Group-Southern Region Offering Services Leader and Audit & Assurance partner of Deloitte China. Mr Lui has gained over twenty years working experience in Deloitte. Over the years, Robert has provided audit & assurance, digitalization, merger & acquisition services to listed companies, growth enterprises and overseas companies. In addition, he is responsible for the affairs and relationship with the Government Units and the development of the Greater Bay Area. Being the Capital Market Services Group Leader of Deloitte China Southern Region, Robert assisted more than fifty entities in their initial public offerings in The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.

Simon Yip, CFA, FRM is a Team Lead of Institutional Treasury Management at DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited and he joined us in Sep 2017. Mr Yip is responsible for client relationship management focusing on the fund industry. His team provides wide range of corporate banking products and services to asset managers and funds including private equites and hedge funds, mostly from Asia especially Greater China. He has over 12 years of extensive experience in the banking industry. Mr Yip worked in different international banks prior to joining DBS. Simon holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and is a CFA chartered holder and certified FRM.

Mr. Shou is the chief investment officer at Skybound Capital. With an academic background in China, Theodore Shou started his career lecturing economics. Subsequently, Shou worked on investment roles with HSBC, where he was mostly specialised in manager selection and asset allocation. He was stationed in London, New York, Geneva and Hong Kong. Shou joined Skybound Capital in 2011 to set up its Asian business before taking up more roles within the group. Mr. Shou holds Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Economics. He is a CFA charter holder and a CAIA charter holder. Meanwhile, he serves as director to various public and private companies globally, while he also serves as Chapter Executive at CAIA Hong Kong. 

Tony is a Vice President of Capital Markets and Wealth Management at Tykhe Capital Group. The Group’s Capital Markets and Wealth Management business is acting through Pioneer Asset Management Limited (PAML), a Tykhe Group member. PAML is the first and only asset manager permitted by SFC in Hong Kong to conduct fund tokenisation business, and is permitted to manage 100% of portfolio(s) in virtual assets (including security tokens and crypto assets). At Tykhe, Tony is responsible for the development of Tykhe's security token offering (STO) business and the project lead of PRINCE Token project, the first real estate fund STO managed by a Hong Kong licensed asset manager. Prior to his role at Tykhe Group, Tony led the product strategy and partnership across Tykhe’s subsidiaries from custody, payment to trading platform; particularly, he drove a number of banking and brokerage partnerships focusing on providing enabling infrastructure for financial market intermediaries to enter Web3. In addition to Tykhe, Tony was also an adjunct Applied Research Fellow at Chinese University of Hong Kong, coaching FinTech Master students on various Web3 industry projects.

Yifan Zheng is currently Assistant Vice President in Institutional Banking Group, DBS Hong Kong, responsible for business development and partnership in Greater China, focusing on DBS Asset Management Banking Solution. Yifan has more than 7 years of experience covering institutional and corporate clients in Greater China, with a focus on asset manager and funds. Prior to DBS Hong Kong, Yifan had stayed in Oriental Patron and Maybank Investment Bank managing institutional & corporate sales. Yifan received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
